Nyake is based on a background character from the comic, "The Orphaned Birds" (lionking.wikia.com/wiki/The_Or…). She can be seen on the very last panel, behind Tojo and another lioness (Sarabi?). The image is small and blurry, but it almost looks as if this dark lioness has a "spiky" head tuft (although this may be due to the poor clarity of the image). I liked it though and added it to my "close up" version of the character.

Who is older: Nyake or Joko? Because I can't think of many reasons she'd kick her own brother out unless she was older, but Lafua chose Joko because he's male.
